AWS and Humain to Deploy 150,000 AI Chips in Saudi Arabia’s New ’AI Zone’
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is deepening its collaboration with Saudi Arabian AI firm Humain to establish a cutting-edge data center in Riyadh. The facility, dubbed the 'AI Zone,' will house up to 150,000 accelerators, including Nvidia's GB300 GPUs and AWS's proprietary Trainium processors. This initiative marks a strategic push to bolster AI infrastructure in the region.
Tareq Amin, Humain's CEO, framed the project as the first phase of a multi-gigawatt infrastructure plan aligned with Saudi Arabia's national objectives and global AI demand. AWS executive Tanuja Randery emphasized the fusion of Humain's local expertise with AWS's AI toolkit—spanning Amazon Bedrock, Quick Suite, and Nvidia hardware partnerships—to create a premier innovation hub.
The partnership positions AWS as Humain's preferred AI provider, with the Riyadh center designed to serve both regional and international clients. No direct cryptocurrency link emerges, but the scale of investment in computational power could indirectly benefit blockchain networks reliant on advanced hardware.
